Now with our acquisition by American Racing Inc. we are the dominant force in the aftermarket wheel industry. The skinny Weld Motorcycle wheels are born from the same heat and incredibly intense pressure that our 400 mph rated Top Fuel wheels wheel are. The results are wheels that are truer, lighter and stronger than the competition. Weld Motorcycle wheels are produced 100% in house in our Kansas City, Missouri facility. To manufacture immaculate wheels from scratch, we start from raw 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and forge each wheel to exact specifications. Forging is the lightest and strongest way to make a high performance wheel. After each wheel is verified and inspected, they move on to heat treating. Upon completing the heat treating process, the wheels are lathed into a blank form, and then are moved onto a CNC (computer numerically controlled) mill. During the CNC process these wheels are carved into elaborate designs using the latest technology to give a superior finish and crisp clean design. Each item is then moved on to our polishing department. Here these highly skilled craftsmen work every square inch of forged aluminum into a brilliant luster. The wheels are then moved on directly to assembly for polished product, or to our in house chrome line. During our unique proprietary chroming process, these wheels are transformed into brilliant, sparking, high performance jewelry for your ride. |
